I bought a KFC chicken sandwich for this?

I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing the Diablo 4 beta over the past two weekends, to the point where the word “blast” would be an understatement. Although the initial login proved to be a minor obstacle due to the sheer volume of players eager to play, with queue times ranging from 45 minutes to an hour, connectivity issues plagued many of us, myself included, leading to two frustrating disconnections that required another wait time to join back in.

The game features five staple classes – Necromancer, Rogue, Sorcerer, Barbarian, and Druid – of which I had the pleasure of sinking enough time into two: the Barbarian and Rogue. While it is true that the game lacks several other classes, I remain optimistic that they may become available in later DLC or merely under a different name, with my personal preference being the introduction of the Demon Hunter, given its similarities to the Rogue.

My Barbarian proved to be a personal favorite due to the ability to wield four weapons simultaneously, allowing me to alternate between dual-wielding and dual sets of two-handed weapons that made me feel like an unstoppable force. However, I found that the class struggled somewhat when facing bosses alone, given the necessity of being up close and personal with the enemy, leading to significant damage taken.

Playing as a Rogue, I immediately noticed the significant difference in my playstyle, given that I could engage in ranged attacks with the use of a bow or crossbow, allowing me to advance my skill tree in that direction. That said, the class also possesses proficiency in dagger and sword attacks that complement ranged assaults, making for a deadly combination in finishing off enemies.

All in all, the Diablo 4 beta was an exceptional experience, and I eagerly anticipate the official release on June 6th, 2023. I’m curious to know if you’ll be picking up the game, and if so, which classes caught your eye or already secured your preference during the beta. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
